Neat effect to transform a flower picture.

Is that the same flower as the sepia picture from a couple of days ago? I like the effect.

Saturday morning and time to pay Jill a visit... hmmm, if you want to do this sort of thing you are going to need a dedicated macro lens, i.e. one that shoots macros only. Pricey darn things they are too! I have two, a 50mm for the Canon and a 24mm for the Minolta. The idea is to get 1/1 magnification. the macros in zooms typically are about 1/3. It really uis satisfying when you get the result you want, and that is not easy. The depth of field is about that of a sheet of paper. A tripod is a must.

Anyway, looks like that is the direction you are heading, so forgive "Mr Know-It-All" for tossing in unsolicited advise.

Cheers,

Nice effects.

You would think the masonry stucco and paint would break the little petals from the weight. Those Gerber's are a tough little species. ;)
