Boy, it didn't take them long to show. I was amazed the other day when we had so many mosquitoes here after it warmed up. Guess our mild winter didn't do well in killing off the bugs.
New growth and a little warmth brings out those "suckers" (literally). They look like they have two little jet engines coming out the back of their abdomen's.
You need some ladybugs. They would take care of your aphids.

OK Jill, what type of macro are you using? low mm 1:! or high,e.g. 24mm or 100mm. I am just blown away by the clarity.

It doesn't matter aphids, if they look like as this photo!!! ;D pretty neat macro!! i love the contrasts!!
