OK....This is one of the squirrels that keeps getting thrown off my Yankee Flipper Bird Feeder. He's sitting there eyeing the seed he can't get. (The Yankee Flipper is the only real squirrel proof bird feeder, that I know about.)
Much better photo than the ones I took. Now, if I'd just had a better camera...then I could actually post the photos.
My mom might be interested in that kind of feeder. We have this extremely up-close photo, I think my sister took years ago, of a squirrel getting into our feeder we used to have. He didn't even mind people being so close.
I must be in a silly mood today because when I read through your post I envision hungry squirrels tumbling off the bird feeder like circus acrobats. *stifles a giggle*
The squirrel in your image is such a cutie though. I really like the muted pinkish colours in the background too.
Hi Jill, lovely photo... but grey squirrels, imported to the UK by accident, are not welcomed at all here since they are so thriving and pushing native red ones to the far north. My bird feeders are all squirrel-protected since red ones do not live in my area any longer...

love the composition, I like the lighting on the subject, always feel rare to find one in the light like that.

I think of them as rats with furry tails... but it just doesn't work. They are cute little bandits.
Squirells are fun animals to take pictures of. gReat shot
