Beautiful! I see finches on my sunflowers frequently but have never seen any on my zinnias.

Lovely photos!

I once saw a goldfinch feeding on thistle seeds while tiger swallowtails nectared on the blossoms.... to see the Yellow/Black theme side by side from the two species was a treat... my mind's eye keeps that image alive

Wow, excellent capture, Jill! I've yet to get a good, let alone a great photograph of a bird. Both the foreground and background are equally beautiful and compliment each other well.

Beautiful photo. I didn't know goldfinches ate zinnia seeds. I'll have to plant some near the nyger/niger feeders.

I have seen Goldfinches tearing apart my Zinnia's to get at the seeds. I watched as the male tore apart several Flowers while the female just hung out patiently waiting for him to be done. hahaha
