Female Cardinal
First shot with my new lens, Canon 70-300mm IS USM
I'm going to love this lens, especially since it has the Image Stabilization feature. I'll be using this lens a lot. Hope to get some better bird shots.
This bird sat on the tree branch for about an hour. Taking a nap, I guess.

Your photos are very inspiring and the info. on your new lens is something I'll keep in mind while I'm figuring out what new camera to get. I would just love to capture birds. Every morning they are flying everywhere and chirping. I'm sure I'll have lots of new opportunities with a better camera.

I'll be adding you to my links shortly.

Congrats on the new lens! The shallow depth to this photo is very nice.

It's so exiting when you get a new lens, isn't it? I love birds too, but the lens I have for a long shot is not that great. Well, show us more birdy photos!

Oo, cool new lens. I've often wanted to have a longer reach with my telephoto zoom (70-200). I bet the IS will come in very handy. Congrats.
